Kickstart vs Pro: what changes on your public site?

Kickstart and Pro both publish a public lot site with inventory pages and store details. Pro unlocks more distribution and growth tools. It does not turn AutoFire into an SEO agency or unlock unlimited city and service pages.

What both plans publish

Free Kickstart and AutoFire Pro both give you a public dealer site built around inventory. Shoppers can browse listings, open vehicle detail pages, and find lot hours, address, map, and contact on the same property.

That shared foundation matters. Upgrading is not a promise that rankings suddenly appear. It adds capacity and tools on top of the same inventory-first model.

Whether you are on Kickstart or Pro, a buyer can open your Civic VDP, see photos and price, and confirm how to visit. The public site does not flip to a brochure-only layout when you upgrade. Inventory stays the center of the page.

That continuity helps when you trial Pro and later decide. Your cars and store details do not need a rebuild just because you turned distribution tools on or off.

What Pro adds

Pro is $99.99/mo after trial when you subscribe. It is aimed at lots that need more inventory headroom and growth tooling: custom domain options, lead and inquiry workflows, inventory syndication toward Google/Meta/marketplace feeds, chat-style assistance, and related Pro features listed on Pricing.

In plain terms, Pro wraps inventory + site + syndication + chat (and the rest of the Pro checklist) into one subscription. Kickstart stays the free path for tiny lots that mainly need the public site online.

Day to day on Pro, you still edit inventory the same way, then use syndication when you want that stock on partner channels, and chat when you want on-site help answering shoppers. Kickstart stops short of those growth tools and keeps the focus on getting cars and lot contact public.

If your desk spends mornings uploading the same Tahoe to three marketplaces by hand, Pro’s syndication path is the upgrade that removes that repeat work. If you mainly need the lot site live for walk-in and phone traffic, Kickstart already covers the public pages.

What does not change when you upgrade

Pro does not make AutoFire an SEO agency. We still do not sell link building retainers, managed Google Ads, or ranking guarantees. Soft dealership SEO remains crawlable VDPs plus lot context on the site you publish.

Pro also does not unlock a CMS of unlimited custom service or city landing pages. Local footprint stays inventory pages and store details. Overview: /solutions/dealership-seo. Local framing: /learn/dealer-websites/local-seo-for-used-car-lots.

If someone pitches you “upgrade for rankings” or “Pro unlocks fifty city pages,” that is not how AutoFire works. Pro adds distribution and growth tooling around the same inventory-first site, not a different SEO product category.

How to choose

Stay on Kickstart if you have a small inventory that fits free and you primarily need crawlable VDPs and store details live. Move to Pro when you need feeds, higher listing capacity, custom domain, chat, or the other Pro growth tools.

New dealerships typically get a Pro trial window after approval (see Pricing for current trial terms). After that, keep Kickstart free or subscribe to Pro at $99.99/mo. Either way, the public site stays inventory-first.

A simple rule of thumb: if your week is about getting cars online and answering phone calls from the lot site, Kickstart may be enough. If your week includes pushing stock to marketplaces and Google-oriented feeds, Pro is the plan built for that workload.

Either choice still ships inventory-first pages with lot contact. Pick based on distribution needs and listing headroom, not on a promise that Pro magically ranks every Camry overnight.
